“In the footsteps of her influences, Tig uncovers narrative in such a descriptive and delicate way.”

“Think of the emotional downpour from Olivia Rodrigo, consoled by the angelic Norah Jones.”

Naarm/Melbourne-based artist Tig is a storyteller, a deep thinker and an even deeper feeler. She has an uncanny ability to evoke emotion in her listeners, employing affecting vocals to convey her experiences with such fervour that her fans connect as if the stories were their own. In movie-montage fashion, Tig’s music journeys through a million moments of self discovery as she unravels loose threads, then ties them back together again. ‘All the feels’ is a phrase commonly buzzing around the room at the end of a show, and amidst the emotional turbulence, Tig empowers her audience with the comforting sense of finally being understood.

Tig’s debut EP ‘Inside Voices’ is set for release on 1 February 2024. Tig’s introspective alt-pop collection explores the manipulation of a loud inner-critic and the freedom of finally voicing suppressed feelings. Developing the songs and her skills simultaneously, Tig wrote, recorded and co-produced the EP from her bedroom, in collaboration with highly-regarded producer Jono Steer (Angie McMahon, Leif Vollebekk) who completed production and mixed the collection at Dare Studios, Melbourne. With the first two singles ‘Too Late Heartbreak’ and ‘Gingerbread House’ landing features on Pilerats and Beat Magazine, and airplay on RRR and PBS, high anticipation now surrounds Tig’s forthcoming EP.

Prior to announcing her EP, Tig has already been debuting the songs on big stages across the country, captivating audiences at venues including The Triffid (QLD), Miami Marketta (QLD) and Fed Square (VIC). Tig secured notable support slots joining the tours of both the Pierce Brothers and Kim Churchill, charming her way into the hearts of fans locally and interstate. Earlier this year, having honed her stagecraft in supporting roles, Tig hosted her first headline show for eager fans prior to releasing any music. The EP preview party drew a sold out crowd to Collingwood's Gasometer Hotel (upstairs) with ticket sales exhausted in just 3-weeks. After closing out the set with the soon to be released first single ‘Too Late Heartbreak’, the jam-packed crowd then rushed to secure the exclusive early-access single vinyls, selling out the limited edition run by the end of the night.

Tig is now gearing up to launch the EP with a full-band show at the Evelyn Hotel, Fitzroy in February 2024.
